19/11 :  Come for a cup of coffee!

   Hello all!

Those who met last Sunday at the Native State for a cup of coffee said that they had such a good time that they asked us to organise it again. They spent their time chatting and playing the Tavli, the best way to have a relaxed Sunday after a hard week!

The Hellenic Society would like to invite you again to cafe Native State, this coming Sunday, 23rd of November, at around 15:00 to come along for a cup of coffee and a chat. This will give us the opportunity to get to know some of the new (and old) members in town, and more importantly, it will give YOU the chance to get to know each other as well. We?ll bring again some board-games, and a Tavli, to give things a more Greek feel!

17/11 :  Live Music Night!!!

   Hello all,

As we approach Christmas and most of you will go back home, we thought it was a good idea to give you a taste of Greece, and Greek music.

The Hellenic Society would like to invite you to the second LIVE MUSIC NIGHT on Saturday 29th November 2008 at the Cabaret Bar in Pleasance from 10 pm until 1 am.

Our band (one bouzouki and two guitars) will be happy to entertain you in the tunes of Greek Folk music!

Come along, bring your friends and spread the word. You can't miss it!!

   Dear members,

On Thursday 6/11/08 the new committee of the Hellenic Society of the University of Edinburgh was elected. All members of the Hellenic Society were invited to participate. However, there was a small turnout, but still important since we had the chance to discuss problems that you have and hear new ideas for improvement. Anyhow, the new committee is now manned with new members with fresh ideas.

On behalf of the committee, we invite you to feed us continuously with new ideas and suggestions. You can communicate your thoughts either by sending us an e-mail or through the forum of the website.
